After 20 years as a commercial photographer, I still love my job.
I started out as kid with a camera in Utahs red rock wilderness.
Later I dogged photographers at the morning newspaper, which
lead to an after-school job, then ten years full time in a commercial studio.
Since then, my work has included advertising, architecture, annual reports, events,
and editorial and appeared in magazines like InStyle, People, and Time. Outside the studio Ive taken my camera across the world, from Patagonia to Malaysia and Auckland to the Alps. Im always on the lookout for beautiful images, new concepts, and big trout.
Personal experience informs my favorite style: a documentary feel,
natural light, shots with soul. My commercial approach is versatile,
collaborative, and efficient. This produces strategic images that deliver
results. And that gets great buzz from clients: Its like youre in my brain.
Maybe thats why I love my job.
